Maybe I want to buy a Yanmar YM1500D, but first I want to know are all the parts available for this tractor ? And is it a good tractor ?

I think parts support for 80's Japanese compacts in general is getting spotty and expensive. I have a Ford (Shibaura) myself but haven't had a problem yet--but then nothing serious has broken either.
Yanmars (Jonh Deere) are pretty well regarded and there is a small N.A. dealer network. There also are people who can obtain parts from Japan but dealer support makes things easier. I've heard that Yanmar N.A. has a very restrictive policy and does not allow it's dealers to work on or supply parts for 'gray Yanmars.' A gray is one that was imported directly to N.A. rather than through Yanmar N.A.. I think what I'd do is contact a dealer through the web to determine if you can order parts through them. Leonard (who posts here regularly) specializes in parts from Japan might comment. ....

What do you exactly mean with John Deerne ? Uses Yanmar many parst from them ?
And I'll wait for a post from Leonard, maybe he can tell more about the parts available. ....

Yanmar built many of the early JD compacts for JD and may still do so. Similarly, Shibaura built tractors for Ford.
If yours is a model similar to one of the JD tractors then there is some potential for obtaining parts through JD. It is sort of a research problem though since all parts may not be exactly the same. ....

Wish I could help more but I've got to say the same thing as I did in the Shibarua parts post below. If I recall, several cross over models have been identified in the past by others. If nobody has the answer the archives may help. ....
